What statuses a script can have and how they differ?

A quick summary of different script statuses in Studio

Scripts in Studio can have 5 different statuses:

  • Draft
    • Before a Script has been published it is in the Draft state
  • Published
    • Once it is published but has served fewer than 10 impressions it becomes Published
  • Live
    • Once it has served 10 impressions it becomes Live
  • Cancelled
    • A published Script becomes Cancelled when a new version is created from it and that new version is published
  • Archived
    • Published and Live script become Archived when at least 3 months have passed since the end of the Campaign that they belong to

An Archived script can't be edited, it is not possible to retrieve the tag for an Archived script and the published media for Archived scripts is deleted. An Archived script cannot be un-archived. However, you can copy an Archived script to a new script in a new campaign.

In terms of ad serving, Archived scripts behave the same as Draft scripts.

Script statuses are visible in the Script itself as well as the Library and Dashboard.
